Development Prayer   Gracious and Loving God   As we journey in faith at the dawn of a new millennium, we give You thanks for all the many gifts You have bestowed upon us.   We thank you especially for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, with whom we celebrate the Eucharist.   Open our hearts to live our Eucharistic tradition, so that we may reconsider our priorities and values, always placing Christ at the center of our lives.   Help us be mindful that we are called to give up something of ourselves so that our communion of faith and our world may flourish.   Show us how to be good stewards of the marvelous gifts You entrusted to us, so that in everything we do, we may give You glory.   We ask this through Christ, our Lord.   Amen
