Graduates of SHMS are prepared to be:
- Director of Religious Education
- Director of Christian Service
- RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) Coordinator
- Youth Minister
- Prison Minister or Chaplain
- Teacher of religion at a Catholic school
- Chaplain, home health care, hospital, hospice, long term care
- Parish Music Minister (vocal, instrumental, etc.)
- Staff for Catholic Social Services
- Staff for community youth mentoring program
- Staff for a non-profit
- Staff for retreat center
- Parish administrator
- Parish Business Manager
- Catechist
Students enroll in academic programs for a variety of vocational and educational reasons. Some are looking for a new vocation in a faith-based field, other are seeking to enhance skills with a theological basis for work in which they are already engaged while others are looking to prepare for further graduate study.
